That’s Santa Barbara Island. Just crawling with them. There is a very healthy seal and sea lion population there. While visiting, I caught some shots of the breading ground (it’s amazing how far up the island they go) and a few clans with pups. It’s really funny to be in a place where pinnipeds dominate. [...]

More on this later.. but for now, I leave you with a bewildered sea lion. Bewildered because Santa Barbara Island is a haven for pinnipeds, and not so much for humanoids like us (or the canine that’s aboard).
